As rainy weather begins to submerge Vancouver like a creature being swallowed into a fog monster's belly - it's difficult to fight the urge to stay inside with a good book. But fight it you must! Why? Because September on Granville Street is filled with amazing entertainment and music. With the help of Georgia Straight, here is a list of concerts and other exciting events on Granville this September: 

SEPTEMBER 4: The National Circus and Acrobats - The People's Republic of China 7:30p.m. at the Orpheum. 

SEPTEMBER 4: American hip-hop artist and Wu-Tang Clan member Raekwon plays Venue, with guests Juvi Dizzle, Mic Dreams, JuLS, ILL-Legitimate, and Flipout.

SEPTEMBER 5 - 7Taiwanfest 2015 fills the streets with delicious food, films. music and activities!

SEPTEMBER 5: Slow tempos and sludgy sound, the American punk-metal band the Melvins (above) plays Venue, touring in support of latest release Hold It In.

SEPTEMBER 5: New York City-based DJ-producer songwriter duo the Chainsmokers (above), consisting of Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall, plays the Commodore.

SEPTEMBER 6: Netherlands electronica DJ Dannic plays Venue.

SEPTEMBER 6: American rapper Machine Gun Kelly plays the Vogue Theatre, touring in support of upcoming album General Admission, with guest King Los.

SEPTEMBER 9: English folk-rock singer-songwriter Passenger plays the Orpheum Theatre, with guest Gregory Alan Isakov.

SEPTEMBER 13: American Christian/alt-metal band P.O.D. plays Venue, with guests Islander.

SEPTEMBER 16: night of DJ beats at the Roxy featuring Beastie Boys member Mix Master Mike, with support from locals Vinyl Ritchie and JT James.
